DryerFlex Transition Hose - 4 feet
Details
DryerFlex combines the ease of use and flexibility of the wire-bound foil flex with the fire resistance and airflow efficiency of semi-rigid aluminum flex. 48 inches of the safest, most efficient and easiest to work with clothes dryer transition duct on the market.
This transition duct meets the very stringent Underwriters Laboratories UL2158A standard that the ICC Residential & Mechanical Codes require.
- Not your typical wire-bound foil flex
- Accommodates all Dryerbox models
- Impressive stretch to compressed ratio
- Maintains the full 4" inside dimension
Bottom line, this flex combines all the positive aspects of semi-rigid and foil flex and eradicates the unpopular aspects of semi-rigid and foil flex like air flow efficiency, fire containment, recoil ratio and bend radius. We’ve achieved a hybrid flex that we can confidently stand behind. Prepare to be impressed.
For faster connections, two stainless steel DryerClamps are included. Unlike zinc coated clamps, a stainless steel band delivers noticeably smoother operation. DryerClamps open fully so you can get them around the transition duct when you connect it to the wall (other clamps don't). Their extended screw provides ample space for hex head drivers and makes power drill use a breeze.
Popular with OEM installation contractors, dryer vent cleaners and appliance repair crews, DryerFlex is now the preferred transition duct for contractors nationwide. For them, it minimizes callbacks and makes installation a breeze.
The DryerFlex Advantage
Constructed with all aluminum ribbon, DryerFlex fire-rated duct is as flexible as "slinky" foil flex yet stronger than semi-rigid aluminum, making installation easier and every laundry room safer. Quite simply, DryerFlex provides the best functionality of the old transition ducts without any of the defects. DryerFlex always maintains its four-inch diameter, whether fully extended or compressed.
The smooth interior helps to eliminate lint catchpoints, allowing the dryer to perform at peak efficiency. Its strong aluminum ribbon protects against crushing and flame-spread. Choose DryerFlex for exhaust duct that's safe, efficient and easy to install.
Choose the Highest UL Fire Resistance Class for safety reasons and added peace of mind. Only UL2158A listed ducting, like DryerFlex, should be used to connect the dryer's exhaust system (non-listed hose commonly used to vent bathroom fans should never be used). While building code and dryer manufacturers all require a UL 2158A listed transition duct, there are differences upon further testing. It is very common to find listed material that is fairly safe but does develop smoke and flame spread at lower temperatures. DryerFlex’s UL Listing is further substantiated by its ability to minimize smoke and flame emission, helping to prevent flame spread. This material withstands fire exposure up to 482° in a testing atmosphere.
Kit includes 4 feet of DryerFlex and 2 DryerClamps.

Best Flexible Duct
by Dan The Plumber| 8/4/2020 12:00:00 am
I have installed my types of dryer vent over the years. This dryer vent is the best I ever used. It is better than the rigid flexible because it does not crush. Its better than the cheap flexible because it does not sag.
Dryer Flex

This hose worked perfectly for me. It allowed me to push the dryer very close to the wall, unlike the prior vent hose.
dryer vent hose

The hose maintains a good opening even when bent for a 90 degree turn. The only problem I had was that when it was not fully extended at the end, my 4 inch aluminum tube adapter would not go into the hose. I had to stretch the hose out completely so that there was not anything bunched on the inside of the hose.
Good hose

Good quality hose with some rigidity.
Worked Perfect!

Very stiff, yet easy to bend as needed. There is much less possibility of lint getting trapped on the inside. Also, more difficult to crush the line when you slide the dryer back in like the ones I have bought in the past. I will purchase this again and recommend to others.
