This is a simple "ending louver". It works, but it is a no-frills, inexpensive product. It does the job.
Louuvered Dryer Vent

After 8 years of hot air they simply dry out & break. Thanks to In-O-Vate, I was able to purchase two of these and replace them in my apartment building.
